Skinny Spicy Margarita

skinny spicy jalapeno margarita recipe from Janet Smith BeBlessed Health and Fitness.

Sometimes, you just need a margarita but traditional margaritas can be 500-1000 calories (especially those jumbo glasses at mexican restaurants). Try this option instead. Only 120 calories per drink.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 ounces tequila
1 1/2 ounces light orange juice
1 ounce lime juice
1 dash light agave nectar or stevia for sweetening (add more or less for desired taste)
4 slices of fresh jalapeno (adjust number of jalapenos for your spice preference)
pink himalayan salt for rimming glass (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the lime juice, orange juice, your choice of sweetener, and tequila in a cocktail shaker with ice and mix. I added two jalapeno slices to the shaker to add a little extra kick before straining and pouring into glasses.

Strain the mixture over ice after rimming your glass with salt (optional), then add two slices of jalapeno for garnishing.
